Super User Redlinerobert Posted April 26, 2007 Super User Posted April 26, 2007 So I just shipped out to Reelmech a brand new Ito Engineering Alpha reel for him to take apart. I am having the housing anodized in the same finish as my Abel pliers and knife. Here is the finish. After I get the housing back, It goes back to Reelmech to be put back together. I will also be adding these parts. ZPI black carbon handle Cork grips I can't wait to get it back! This reel will go on my Steez Harrier rod. Quote

lubina Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 It will look very nice. I would also upgrade the ball bearing to TG Rockets ceramic hybrid and Carbontex drag washers. They are worth every penny. Good luck with it Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted May 1, 2007 Author Super User Posted May 1, 2007 I just pm'd Rellmech to ask about these pieces Lubina - Let's see what he says. He told me that the innards arent any different than a stock Alpha.... Quote
Guest DavidGreen Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Actually stock Alphas, Sols, etc. The write states "the Japan version of Daiwa Sol." Quote
