SWB Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 Is there any problems with the 50 MG versus the 100 as far as line capacity??Only 85 yds of 12lbs on the mg against 120 of 12 on the 100.I always use 14 to 17lbs line Quote
Guest DavidGreen Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 CH50MG...10/105, 12/85, 14/70 CH100B...10/130, 12/120, 14/100 Quote
SWB Posted April 28, 2007 Author Posted April 28, 2007 Thanks Reelmech I know the capacity of both I was just curious if anyone has seen the small capacity as a problem with the MG?? Quote
Hawgin Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 85 yards is still a lot of line, and I don't think I've ever spooled a reel out that far fishing for bass. I think guys are willing to take the trade off of less line, for the reduced size and weight. Quote
Top Posted April 28, 2007 Posted April 28, 2007 I just caught my PB on the MG... I didn't feel like I was going to run out of line at all... she made a few runs and jumped a couple of times just to let me know she wasn't ready to give up and no problems... in fact when I use my Curados and Citicas now they feel "lunky" to me. I would say go for the MG or the Curado 100 you won't be disappointed in either AL Quote
