I bought some of this stuff guys and it does exactly what it says it does. It turns invisible in the water I took a small amount of line and took it down to a creek by my house and dropped it in there. You can see it but, you wouldn't see it if you didn't know it was there already. I like this stuff greatly very durable. Now if only Dicks Sporting Goods carried trailer hooks.

ive never used the stuff an probably never will....not cuz it doesnt work but scientificly red doesnt completely dissapear until its about 12-15 feet down.any shallower than that it is still somewhat visible .since im in 1-4 foot o water it doesnt help me much

Well I didn't mean like it was invisible, invisible, just it works so good compared to some Stren and Suffix I have used.

I found a great use for this line.  I use it as "backing" on my reels.  When I start to see red glowing through my clear flouro, I know my flouro line is getting low and it is close to the time to change (I retie several times a day and that eats up line quickly).  The different color also prevents me from casting into the filler line on my reel.

Hi, I've used this line for a couple years now. Has great knot strength, not too much stretch and the fish don't seem to care about the colour. I fish in extreemly clear water with 15 to 20 feet visability. So far, I have only used it for spinner baits and cranks. This year I plan on increasing that to flipping/pitching as well.

i think the red attracts shalow fish.imho cajun red cast is the best mono made.if i wasn't trying flouro again this year i'd be using cajun red cast.

I just spooled Cajun Red cast on my reel and plan on giving it a try this weekend, My neighbor swears by it. My question is... How visible is it compaired to blue or clear mono in shallow water? As far as the line itself, It casts real nice and and seems to feel good as far as the limpness and tightning the knot.

Here is their graph, I don't really see where they compair to clear line. you would think that would be the first thing they would compair too. they also state that it becomes virtually invisible in as little as three feet of water.

Think if you will check, you will find that red line/lures do not disappear, they simply lose their color and become black.  Here is a quote from the Professor section:

Quote:

"is red line like Cajun red cast really less visible to fish than regular low vis green mono? "

Doug Hannon's response:

"Many gamefish have a heightened sensitivity to the color red. It is the only color known to increase the strike reflex in fish, and, as such, has a place in lure presentation.  I don't buy that it would be good in a line color, because typically we do not want the line to be noticed.  The fact that it disappears at depth does not mean it is rendered invisible.  The red is simply replaced with black.  I would favor pale green as the least visible line."  Doug Hannon

Thanks links_man2,

That makes it much clearer to me. I knew it never really disappears but I was wondering to what extent and if was truly an advantage to other lines.
