Cephkiller Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I bet if you had played your cards right and kept posting about how you were sure the Pflueger was superior to Shimano and Daiwa, someone would have sent you a free one just to prove you wrong ;D Quote

Guest the_muddy_man Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 The narrow spool it felt better on my thumb Quote
ThaKing Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 I have that same exact reel, to be honest i like my new curado better. Quote
skillet Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Not familiar with either one, except good companies. So, I just wanted to say it's great to save up and then get what you really want. Glad for you fella! As Ever, Skillet Quote

Guest the_muddy_man Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Now that we finally have ice out I intend to. Cant get out til next week I CAN"T WAIT Quote
Super User dodgeguy Posted April 11, 2007 Super User Posted April 11, 2007 it's the same one i have.it's a great reel for the $. Quote
Thefishy1 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 dang, Muddy if i had known that you were looking for a pflueger baitcaster I could have gotten you one this coming weekend at the shakespeare yard sale where pflueger sells all of their unsold reels for 30-80 percent off. Trions are 70, Presidents are 100 and supreme's are 130 bucks Quote
Bassassasin12 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 not to rub it in or anything muddy, but I have a president already and a supreme on the way ;D ;D Pflueger makes the best reels for the money, but shimano has the best reels if your looking to spend 200-500 bucks. This is something I will always say and you can't argue until you own one of the higher end pfluegers. Muddy Man I don't have the Trion but I have heard it is a great little reel and I hope you catch come PA lunkers on it! Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted April 11, 2007 Super User Posted April 11, 2007 I have that same exact reel, to be honest i like my new curado better. I would say that too Einstein.......that is if I just bought a reel that cost twice as much as the Trion. Good choice Muddy I also bought a new Trion this winter, can't wait to use it. I got the wide spool, feels good in my big mits. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted April 12, 2007 Super User Posted April 12, 2007 Good choice Muddy. Now, whenever you catch a fish with it, stand up and yell VIVA LA PFLEUGER, at the top of your lungs. Quote
RiskKid. Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Enjoy the new set up and may you catch many fishes alot of them being really big! Quote
ThaKing Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 i have the trion but see i said i like my curado better because i got them for about the same price. The reason is because i work for a sporting good store and our fishing vendor is a good friend of mine and he gives me his catalog so i can get it at his price. Dont get me wrong the trion is great for the price and alot of people own it. But in my situation the curado came at a nice price. Quote
