ThaKing Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 I know people have discussed this various number of times but i never got a clear answer to this question. Can anyone give me their opinion? Thanks My question is I have 50# sufix braid, what would be better a mono leader or fluoro? and what #? To add more info i will say that i usually fish clear water about 5-40 ft. But i will be using this set up alot. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted April 10, 2007 Super User Posted April 10, 2007 I use 20# fluorocarbon with braid no matter what the water color is. My reasoning is not what others use fluorocarbon for ( low visibility ), I use it for weight since braid floats. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted April 10, 2007 Super User Posted April 10, 2007 I mostly use fluro or fluro coated with braid. I have used mono and can't see much differenct. Quote
ThaKing Posted April 11, 2007 Author Posted April 11, 2007 so in other words it doesnt really matter which one of the 2 you use then huh. Is 50# braid too much? should i use something around 20 or 30#? Quote
