Im wondering i have a few spinning reels with felt drag washers can i cut out and use carbotex or any other drag material and will it have to be the same thickness or can i go a little bit thicker<Is thicker better or the thinnest i can get away with???

So you want to mickey-mouse your drag system. What are the model and series numbers for the reels. With those you can check to see if Smoooooth Drag has even made a drag pad for the reels. Most of the pads they make for spinning reels are for large saltwater reels.

One is a solora metal series 3035 pfluegur and the other is a 101 garcia .I know the drags will prob cost more then the reeels.LOL but i use power pro on them and seems like they pulsate when i latch into even a 1 pound bass,never know when i will catch a 5 pounder and i dont want my drag being my weak link!!

Well they don't show anything for those reels. The problem you would have is finding a pad that fits the closest dimensions that you need for cutting proper drags in the those reels.

Sound almost like the line is slipping on the spool.
