Ranger364 Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Sounds like you need advice from The Reel Mech. Quote
Guest DavidGreen Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 the_Conceited_ReDnEcK, So you want to mickey-mouse your drag system. What are the model and series numbers for the reels. With those you can check to see if Smoooooth Drag has even made a drag pad for the reels. Most of the pads they make for spinning reels are for large saltwater reels. Good luck.. Quote

One is a solora metal series 3035 pfluegur and the other is a 101 garcia .I know the drags will prob cost more then the reeels.LOL but i use power pro on them and seems like they pulsate when i latch into even a 1 pound bass, never know when i will catch a 5 pounder and i dont want my drag being my weak link!! Guest DavidGreen Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Well they don't show anything for those reels. The problem you would have is finding a pad that fits the closest dimensions that you need for cutting proper drags in the those reels. i use power pro on them and seems like they pulsate when i latch into even a 1 pound bassSound almost like the line is slipping on the spool. Good Luck.. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted April 9, 2007 Super User Posted April 9, 2007 Yes, it does sound like "ghost drag". Do you use some mono backing with the Power Pro? Quote
