Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 29, 2007 Super User Posted March 29, 2007 These things are a work of art. I almost dont want to fish with them. Almost. Sorry about the crappy pics. And the Ito Engineering reel. I changed the handles on it. Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted March 29, 2007 Super User Posted March 29, 2007 You're gonna love those reels!!! Wait till you fish with them. The Ito you got there makes an excellent pitching reel. Let me know how you like the Steez rod. That is next on my agenda!!! : Blaine, Quote
The_Natural Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 I'm already eyeballing my next Steez rod; I got the same feeling when I bought my first Steez as I did with my first Loomis...I just kept shaking my head and smiling . I don't think there is anyone that will ever own one; it is either none or several 8-). Quote
Super User burleytog Posted March 29, 2007 Super User Posted March 29, 2007 I handled a Steez rod a couple of days ago at my local tackle shop (very very surprised they had even one as there isn't a big market for high dollar items around here) and was very surprised at the weight. They are nice sticks. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted March 29, 2007 Super User Posted March 29, 2007 Redline, I think you are my hero. I one day hope to be on your level of equipment ownership. Well done sir, well done. Quote
The_Natural Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Any of these new sticks going to be getting a TD-Z, or are you sticking with Steez on Steez? I planned on putting Steez reels on my first two Steez rods, but I ended up buying two more Steez rods instead . I'm glad I did...all 4 will be sporting TD-Z's now . Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted March 29, 2007 Super User Posted March 29, 2007 Redline, you have a serious addiction. Have you considered counseling, hypno-therapy, transcendental meditation, etc? ;D ;D Just yankin' yer chain, man. That's some awesome gear. Well done, indeed. Let us all know how it fishes. Cheers, GK Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 29, 2007 Author Super User Posted March 29, 2007 Natural, Thanks again for the info yesterday. I'll be putting the new TD-Z's on new rods - not quite sure which ones yet. I've already ordered some cork grips for these reels. They tie in to the rod's cork very nicely. Quote

The_Natural Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 Which other Steez rods do you have besides these two? I thought you had one or two of the US market rods. I forgot to mention that I will be testing out that lifetime warranty...I broke the tip off my 6' Steez last Monday . Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 31, 2007 Author Super User Posted March 31, 2007 Besides these two I also have the 7'1" Harrier and the 6'7" Flogger. I still want the 7'3" Ouachita for a frog stick. Quote
