DanWyomingMI Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 Is the line really as good as I hear it is? Is it worth $25 for 120yds? Anyone you this line and have any comments? Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted March 27, 2007 Super User Posted March 27, 2007 Too expensive for my taste. Quote
The_Natural Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 It is good, but I don't think it is worth the price. I'd go with Bass Pro's XPS fluoro, which can be purchased in 1000yd spools to save some cash. Quote

Ben Lipiec Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 It is well worth the money! I have been using it for the past year in a half. You think your saving yourself money when you buy that cheaper spool of line, but when you loose $35 worth of lures in one day like I have on more than one occasion, or if you fish tournaments when loosing fish is loosing money its more than worth its price in my book! I used to throw my Lucky Craft Pointers on 12lb. test line, but since I've been using Gamma I have scaled down to 6lb. and I think I'm getting plenty more bites as well! Quote
DanWyomingMI Posted March 28, 2007 Author Posted March 28, 2007 i was looking at 8lb. Is that the safest bet on all-around use. I dont want to heavy of line, but dont want to go to light. I fish lakes that are pretty weedy. I use stren 30#superbraid, 20# fireline, 6# spiderwire and 12# trilene mono. I think i am going to buy some GAMMA. 6lb or 8lb what do you think? Quote
Aaron Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 You must be talking about th fluorocarbon line because the copoly isn't that high. I haven't used Gamma's fluoro line but I use their copoly a lot. It is the only thing I have on my bass rigs. The copoly is my favorite line that I have tried. Haven't tried their fluoro though, just because i don't care for fluoro period. Im sure you won't be dissipointed. Quote
