Has anyone used the Gary Yamamoto 4 inch worm with the tail. (not the swimming senko). And also what about the single tailed grub by gary yamamoto. If so are they any good? ( I have only used senkos, hula grubs and Kreatures by GY so I have no idea about others)

Are you talking about the Kut Tail worm? They have 'that' texture just like all the other GY baits and are really soft and fragile. I buzzed thru a couple of bags of those in one trip....the fish really liked 'em. I need to buy some more but they are a little scarce here in town.

Dan,  your pictures always contain a good fish,  cool fishing rod and reel,  and some kind of exotic or hard to find bait.  They are a joy to look at.  Oh,  and they always have a cool hat somewhere in them. ;D

Dan,

Man, those are some high quality pics and nice fish, too.

GYCB baits: I fish most of them (all of them?) and they deliver as advertised, period.

Nice pics. Is that a red pixy with megabass destroyer rod? :D

TDZ Custom.

Now back to the subject, there 's one thing I have to say 'bout Kut Tails, just one word: LETHAL in every size, I prefer the larger sizes ( 5 - 6.5 " ), those wiggle the tail like mad when you twitch them ...... kinda like a stripper dancer trying to drive you crazy ( notice that I don 't visit those places of sin and perdition  ;) )

Last weekend I went to a fleamarket to scout for fishing stuff.  I came across a guy selling a bunch of plastics.  He wanted a buck for 6 packs, and guess what, he had some Yamamoto plastics, which I promptly snagged up. All 10 packs of em too!  Mostly all senko's, but he also had a pack of 5" cut-tail worms.  Later on when I got home, I noticed that the cut-tail pack seemed extra beefy, so I counted them.  Instead of the normal 10 per pack, some how this pack had 20 worms.  Woo-Hoo!!

Sunday morning I went out to a local lake before sunup and was ready to catch some fish.  I started off throwing some topwaters, nada.  Tied on a crankbait, nada.  Tried a tiny Strike king swimbait on a 1/8 oz jig head that rarely fails to catch fish, NADA!!  I only had a limited amout of tackle with me and decided to try one of the cut-tail worms on a 3/0 ewg hook.  With-in 20 minutes I had hooked into 6 LM bass.  I was convinced at that point that maybe RW is onto something.  At the flea market I  got 3 packs of 3" senkos for shakey head fishin on the river for smallies, 3 packs of 4" senkos, and 3 packs of 5" senkos too.

If you add that all up, that's around $60 dollars worth of Yamamoto plastics for less than $2.00!!  Now talk about a deal!!!!

The GYCB single tail and double tail grubs are the only ones that I will use.  I use the 4 and 5 inch in both the single and double tail.  They are some of the best products in the GYCB line.   The smallmouth love the GYCB grubs and there really not that expencive you get 20 to a bag at the bargin GYCB price of $5.99

Thanks everyone I will try some of these products
