jbmaine Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Hello, I am looking to pick up a reel for my wife and due to wrist and hand issues a spincast is about all she can use. she currently uses a " cheap" reel that is less than ideal ( lousy drag and lots of line twist ) and I was looking for a better one for her. So far the zebco omega seems like a good choice and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with it. I was thinking trilene xl would be a good line for it. Your thoughts on this too please. As always, thanks for sharing your knowledge Quote
vicdotcom Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 I used a botton of the line spinner reel for a long time also before I really got into fishing more. One thing that I did was change the line out. That seemed to help the twist a lot. It probably wont help the drag much though. But I went with a braided line for my cheapo reel. It worked well for the few months that I fished it. Vic Quote

Tom Bass Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 I have two of the Zebco Omegas in the larger size and I like them very much. I use them quite often and I use Trilene mono with very little line twist problems. Tom Quote
