stilldontlikeyou Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Last weekend while shopping for some bait, I picked up a green jig with the bleeding skirt, and a black spinner bait with a similar skirt as well. I've heard bass are attracted to bleeding bait as it makes them appear wounded, but out of everything I tried, I had no success with either of those. My worms worked, my buzz bait worked, my soft minnows worked (very well), but my 'bleeding' bait didn't even get a bite. Maybe it was just the bass that was in the pond, or are the bleeding baits just hype? Anyone else have good luck with these? Quote
stilldontlikeyou Posted September 8, 2007 Author Posted September 8, 2007 I stilldontlikethem! ;D I actually laughed out loud on that one....Good one 8-) Quote
CJ Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Yeah,I had to.I was just playin'. Anyway,I think the bleeding bait series is just hype. Some people will swear by red hooks and whatnot but I haven't noticed any better results, while using them. Quote
Super User Raul Posted September 8, 2007 Super User Posted September 8, 2007 If it helps your confidence use them. Quote
sodaksker Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 The bleeding bait skirts have not produced for me but, the red hook...now that I am starting to like. Quote
koko36265 Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I do not think they will hurt to use them.... Around here red is a productive color so I try to get a little red in everything... They especially like watermelon colors with red in them... Quote
the captain Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 Don't like, won't use em. I rather have any color (almost) senko over them junky chunks of lead, wire and other stuff ;D. I don't really like any spinners that much ecept inline for trout but that's it cause I have only had a few fish on spinners, but I can catch 10 in under half an hour on a decent day with the right color senko. That being said SENKO all the way Quote
