Super User 5bass Posted March 16, 2007 Super User Posted March 16, 2007 They make a David Fritts crankbait rod. Anyone here have any experience with them? Yep.....I fish a DF76 exclusively for all my deep crankin'. It's glass and 7'6" long so it's a little heavier than a graphite or composite rod but I wouldn't consider deep crankin' with anything else.....and by the way,David Fritts IS THE MAN!! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 16, 2007 Super User Posted March 16, 2007 For deep cranking and all big treble hook lures I fish a Lamiglas SR705R glass rod. This was designed by Skeet Reese as a very technique specific rod: Heavy Power/ Slow Action. The rod components are top shelf, but surprisingly the rod is relatively inexpensive. List price was $210, but I was directed by Lamiglas to a dealer in their same building or nearby that sold me the rod for $160, to tax and no shipping charges. I don't recall the name, so if you decide to pursue this, you'll need to call Lamiglas. Quote
