Bass Pro has 1000yd spools of Yozuri Hybrid for $6.88 in clear and green.  I picked up several spools; that is a great price.  This is not the Ultra Soft, but regular hybrid.

The Hybrid has more flourocarbon than the Ultra Soft.  Hence it will be a bit stiffer.

Is that price in-store only or internet too?  I would check but I've been having a hard time getting the BPS site to come up all weekend.

I imagine it is only online.  Our local BPS doesn't even stock Yozuri.  As said, the regular Yozuri is stiffer, has less stretch, and is more crystal clear versus the Ultra Soft.  I'm not a fan of Ultra Soft due to the color; it may seem petty, but we all have our quirks :).  It just looks white to me, while the regular Yozuri and Pline CXX look crystal clear.  The fish may not even care, but I lose confidence when I don't think it's perfect.  Then again, Pline CXX and regular Yozuri probably aren't for everyone; they are no-nonsense lines that do have some memory, but I have methods to minimize it.

I just bought several 600 yard reels at the Walmart store for $4.00 per 600 yard reel.  I only put it on my ice fishing reels, but I sure don't like it for that.  It springs right off the reels.  I am hoping it works better in the summer time.  It is the regular stuff and it looks sort of brownish.

Are you putting it on spinning reels?  I would definitely not recommend regular Hybrid for spinning reels.

Sigh...as if I need any more line.

2000 yards of 12 lb. heading my way.  Thanks for nothing Natural... :)

Although I STRONGLY recommend Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft for spinning tackle, I have fished original Hybrid up to #8. When spooling you should leave a margin of 1/8" from the top. Although I am currently using Ultra Soft #12 on my baitcasters, I think original Hybrid works just fine on that gear. As a matter-of-fact, thanks to The_Natural, I ordered up some original from BPS yesterday.

I have used Yo-Zuri 10# on spinning tackle in the past with no problem, as long I get the line on the reel tight. The problem is that no store around me, including BPS, and Wal-mart, carry it anymore. I am waiting for the Cabela's to open up sometime in April.
