Super User eyedabassman Posted March 3, 2007 Super User Posted March 3, 2007 Can anyone tell me how they like this line and what do you fish it on? I am thinking of buying some for cranks, and wormin, any input. Quote
KYbass1276 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I use it for almost everything. I use it for C rigging with Gamma florocarbon as a leader. I use it for cranks, wormin. I haven't had no problems with it and have been using for over a year now I highly recommend it Quote
Al Wolbach Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I was given a spool to try last year. The line behaved well but had more stretch than I care for. No other complaints.....................Al Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted March 3, 2007 Super User Posted March 3, 2007 Love the Gamma Co-Poly!! I use it for for everything in various line sizes except on my braid set-up. Quote
Fishing Doug Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I spooled 12 lb on my baitcasters. Only 1 trip out but like it so far. IMO-as far as stiffness- in between Yo-Zuri Original and Ultra Soft. Spooled up 6 lb on my Stradic 2500 and not sure it is going to stay on there very long....little too much memory. I will troll it behind the boat and see if it cleans up. right now the price is right-buy 2, they send you a free spool. FD Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted March 3, 2007 Super User Posted March 3, 2007 Doug, I see you are in MO. So I assume you are fishing some cold water??? I went out for the first time the other day. I noticed there was quite a bit more memory than I was used to last year. I attribute that to the cold water. I had absolutely zero memory issues with it last year. I started using it in the end of May so all of my experience is with warmer water. Quote
Fishing Doug Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 KU, Well, I actually haven't had it out yet. I simply tied on a Spot Remover and was playing around with it. It jumped off a couple of times on the Stradic and seemed to have a lot of memory. I guess my evaluation was a little pre-mature on the 6 lb. I gotta get it out there and try it. We actually have 2 power plant lakes we are fishing this time of year with 60 + degree weather already. After a few trips out with it, I will post results on how it handles on the spinning setup. links_man2 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Been using the 14# Copoly for nearly a year for everything but soft plastics and have really liked it. I use KVD Line & Lure and between the Gamma and conditioner I don't notice much memory other than like lately when I haven't fished much. Quote
Super User Marty Posted March 4, 2007 Super User Posted March 4, 2007 I used some 10# on a Daiwa 2500 size reel last year as a general-purpose line and it performed well enough. I'm not sure that I was able to see anything to justify the much higher price. Quote
