osmy22 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I'd like to replace my telescopic 7'6" with a one-piece 7'3" or so. I find the 7 1/2' is a nuisance. Any make/model ideas for one at all or in the $100-$150 range? Quote
tipptruck1 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Well I have a St. Croix permier fliping stick. Its 7 ft and it a heavy action with a 1/2-1 1/2 oz lure weight. I belive I paid 120 for it. I would check bass pros and cebelas web sites they might have it. I know bass pros dose. And if you have a gander mountian around you check it out. Quote
Ben Lipiec Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Kistler makes a 7'3" Frog and Slop rod that has a heavy power, but I'm not sure if it has a fast enough action for flipping. I recomend the KFRST76, I know you said you dont like the 7'6" rod but the kistlers are incredibly light and only have a 10" handle. So it is not bulky at all and and it really feels like an extension of your arm. If you really want to stick with a shorter rod the have many nice 6'10" to 7' rods that are suitable for flipping anything from 3/16 oz. all the way up to 2 oz. Hope this is helpful. ben Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 28, 2007 Super User Posted February 28, 2007 In that price range i would look at Allstar. Quote
reelon Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Airrus Co-Matrix 7' H great rod for the $94.95 that you pay. I believe that they have also a dedicated co-matrix for flipping, but it is extra-heavy and it is around $120 Quote
