Hey Rell Mech On that reel I got from Pond Hopper the Acurist you worked on. The is a gold button on the left plate it has 2 setting O and F it is on O what is that for? and Underneath the front of the reel is a little black button What is that???? I doin good here huh ;)

it's a flipping switch.one way the thumb bar pops up without reeling and the other you have to crank to get it to engage.it's used when flipping to make it easier to rengage the reel.

dodgeguy has it, that's the Flippin Switch.
Underneath the front of the reel is a little black button What is that????
Push the button at the same time you turn the palming plate downward and remove the side plate to access the spool.

I hate to disagree with dodgeguy and reelmech, but I had one of those reels.

To me the "O" stood for "Oh chit"

and the "F" was for "fuggedaboudit"
