Super User Darth-Baiter Posted April 2 Super User Posted April 2 i finally bought some. my dippy jar in a kayak is too exciting. i wanted the Chartreuse so i could doll up a swimbait, but it came with orange as well in the 2-pack. i think i can handle what is essentially a highlighter. but orange? i think pink would have been the better pairing. are there other marker pens? brands? better or worse? i might write, "please bite me in yellow" on my swimbait. 1 Quote
Super User NorthernBasser Posted April 2 Super User Posted April 2 I'll use an orange Spike-It marker from time to time when I'm flipping a creature bait around shallow. ' 3 Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted April 2 Super User Posted April 2 I keep a zoom chartreuse dye marker pen in my bag. Just for a tail tip highlight here or there on a plastic. Or maybe craws on a beaver/craw worm. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted April 3 Super User Posted April 3 I have a set of the markers. They're ok. The dye doesn't last as long as the dip. I like using them on transparent swimbaits like the 3in Hazedong Shad. Quote

Super User bowhunter63 Posted April 3 Super User Posted April 3 Where did you purchase sticks at ? Quote
Super User GetFishorDieTryin Posted April 3 Super User Posted April 3 I really lke the markers. You can get a subtle hue with just a few dabs or you can go darker. I have the Chart/Red marker, but dont sleep on orange. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted April 4 Super User Posted April 4 I use the chartreuse markers extensively. I just color the top half of a soft plastic, no matter the color. It gives the worm a two tone appearance which I like. The fish dont seem to mind. It doesnt turn the bait chartreuse. For instance on a june bug bait, it changes into a two tone turquoise and june bug. Plus theres a garlic smell. Dont know if thats a plus or not but I catch lots of bass with it. Quote
