Harold H Posted Tuesday at 01:51 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:51 AM https://www.mayosbaits.com/product-page/5-inch-stick-bait-bulk-50-pack-great-value Anyone tried this company? Looking to try small business hand poured baits Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted Tuesday at 02:09 AM Super User Posted Tuesday at 02:09 AM He's got quite the selection of baits there, including laminated stickworms and contrast-color-tail stickworms. Might be worth a try... 1 Quote

Mr. Aquarium Posted Tuesday at 05:35 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:35 PM I have some of them, haven’t gotten a chance to use them but he’s a local to me, I’ve talked to him a few times on the forums. I know other locals love them. I just grabbed some at a local show over winter. I got the turd( solid tube) a few frogs, and some creature baits. 1 Quote

Harold H Posted Tuesday at 07:31 PM Author Posted Tuesday at 07:31 PM Just checked their site had this posted: As this year is coming to a close, we announce that Double ZZ Custom Lures is also closing its doors. As all good things come to an end, we are are looking forward to new beginnings. We have decided to prioritize our time with God, family and fishing. In that order.. We want to thank everyone from East coast to West coast for your tremendous support and patronage. From the newest customer to the repeat customers who have been with us since the beginning and who have made us who we are today. It has been an honor and a pleasure serving you. We wish each of you the best. Have fun, be safe and God bless you always. I've also read Don Livino's and Upton's are good but not sure if they're in production either. But if you say Roboworm's are good I might settle on those. They look great Quote
Super User WRB Posted Tuesday at 07:37 PM Super User Posted Tuesday at 07:37 PM Don Iovino no longer making soft plastics and Josh (Uptom’s Customs) is a good product but not reliable. Sorry to read about Double ZZ going out of business, good people. Tom 1 Quote

The bait will be flat on one side. In the case of Mayo’s Hand Poured Baits, I looked into the company and he started out with only hand pours then got into injections 1 Quote

You can not tell the difference on some baits if they are made in a double sided cnc mold. I had a stick bait mold with individual cavities and when they came out they looked great. Open pours have the top open and the plastisol is just poured into it. In general today’s hand poured baits refer to baits that are made in small quantities in small shops whether they are actually poured or injected instead of done commercially hundreds at a time. It's basically a Kalin's Western Weenie, which used to be great (no idea if they're still like they were 25 years ago) Quote
Super User WRB Posted Wednesday at 07:01 PM Super User Posted Wednesday at 07:01 PM Green pumpkin has taken over the “green weenie” era, they still work. Tom 2 Quote
Harold H Posted yesterday at 12:52 AM Author Posted yesterday at 12:52 AM Hit one of the pond's today armed with a plethora of plastic worms, started with the Powerbait Nightcrawler and Mann's 12 jelly worm. Got a couple bites but no hookups. Got a pack of Roboworm's today and threw one on a 3/0 Gamakatsu offset rb worm hook weightless, and caught a 3, a 2, and was swimming the worm on the surface and a 5 lber slurped it up. All 3 caught on the same worm, still good for maybe one more fish. Will definitely keep a Roboworm tied on from now on. Also got to see the albino carp 3 Quote
