Puggz Posted Friday at 03:38 PM Posted Friday at 03:38 PM Invisx or Super FC Sniper for use on MH crankbait rods (casting) and JWR leader material. They are about the same price for a 660 spool where I am. Any preferences? Quote
Super User webertime Posted Friday at 04:10 PM Super User Posted Friday at 04:10 PM Sniper is a little harder and less stretchy. It wouldn't be a proper post if I didn't suggest one you aren't looking at. Daiwa J Flouro is pretty sweet too. 3 1 Quote
softwateronly Posted Friday at 04:25 PM Posted Friday at 04:25 PM Sniper has served me well as a leader; thin, strong, and works well with fg/sdj knots. I can see the manageability issues though as it coils pretty good on my 20-30' leaders. scott Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted Friday at 04:37 PM Global Moderator Posted Friday at 04:37 PM I use Sniper for most everything, however I suggest you use neither. You’ll be better served using leader material specifically made for that purpose. Sniper and InvisX are great used as a main line as they are intended Mike 1 1 Quote

Looking at 10lb, have to contend with zebra mussels and rock on deep current ridden marina harbors. I retie often. scott Quote
Super User WRB Posted Saturday at 02:48 AM Super User Posted Saturday at 02:48 AM Why use FC? Maxima Ultra Green copoly 8# (.010D) or 10.# (.012D) has very high abrasion resistance and stronger knot strength, try a filler spool before buying bulk spools. Tom 1 Quote

I'd say slightly harder than sniper 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted Saturday at 05:44 PM Super User Posted Saturday at 05:44 PM The highest abrasion resistant FC that I have found is Sunline Shooter. Diawa J Fluoro is close to Tatsu in performance. Consider Seaguar AbrazX for abrasion resistance, I have no experience with AbrazX only used Tatsu. Tom Quote
