Flyfish-mt Posted Wednesday at 07:43 PM Posted Wednesday at 07:43 PM I have a few older TD casting rods and the reel seats are the absolute, most comfortable reel seats I have felt. Is there any current manufacture that has a similar reel seat w/ the comfort level of these older rods? Quote

What made it the most comfortable for you- the power hump, the negligible seat, or the all cork design? You can find most of those attributes individually on rods, but none that are going to be the same. You might have to go custom for it. The Lews KVD has a similar skeleton seat in a factory rod but no hump and it's foam. 1 Quote
Flyfish-mt Posted Wednesday at 08:20 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 08:20 PM Not necessarily the cork hump but primarily just the low profile, almost nonexistent reel set itself. Of course I much prefer cork for most of my rods but will use EVA grips when I build my saltwater/inshore spinning rods. Quote
