Yup -

Z-Man just introduced the Chatterbox Elite Evo Mini Max

Seems it's a TW exclusive.

Upgrades include the clip (using the regular JH Decoy Clip)

and the Hook has been plus sized from 2 to 3.

Perhaps my favorite move as I've always felt the original Mini Max hook was too small.

As for a suitable trailer - How about the Yamamoto SLIM Zako ?

I am liking this deal.

Bait monkey just ate a slice of cold pizza and 2 smokes in a row after getting through with me on this one.

Me likey!!! As an aside, after trying many trailers I've found what has become my favorite minimax trailer, the missile baits ned bomb. Perfect body thickness and length right out of the package, great subtle fluttering tail action, and pretty durable too.

@A-Jay - These lake fork magic shiners should be right up your alley also.  Very similar profile and action to a zako, but they are a bit lighter in weight and a little more durable.  The 3.5" is what I put on a minimax.  This was a BR recco to me in the first place.

I'm going to have to try that.  I have a few ned bombs for fishing on a ned setup but never considered them for a trailer.  I bet they would be great as a finesse jig trailer as well.

I'm holding out for the Baby Jack to be released before I dump another paycheck into chatterbaits.

I bought a bunch of chatter baits already. Ether I’m working them wrong  or what, they just don’t seem to work for me.

I almost grabbed some but they're not in the CA warehouse yet so it would be slow UPS shipping. Did get a couple of the mini evos though.

I'm in VA and they're projected to be here Thursday with standard shipping. Hopefully they are because they sure like to eat a mini max in the lake I'm fishing Saturday.

Not in stock yet, I have 8 on back order from 3/20. Two of each, Brett's Bluegill, White, Chartruse/white and Golden Shiner. Supposed to be shipped beginning of April.  Checking the TW website it appears they are now in stock.

Almost gave in when I saw the email but told myself I need to use the couple of mini maxs I haven't even opened yet before I pick one up. My willpower seems to be holding so far but if they do another 20% off sale all bets will most likely be off.

What is the difference between the baby jack and the minimax?

Besides the cost difference,

I'm hoping the  Elite Evo Mini Max has a bigger hook.

Getting conflicting info though.

A BKK 3 is what I'm expecting to see once I get them in hand.

If not, back they go.

Yup. And it shows the Baby Jack is the same $15.99 as the full-size Jackhammer. I don't see sales being that great with the cheaper MiniMax EVO available.

The 3 inch yamamoto zako makes an awesome minimax trailer as well.

If You Say So Ok GIF by The Grinch

I'll buy some...

I didnt know the baby jack existed though. Might pick up to of the evo mini max and 1 of the baby jack to compare. Honestly, I probably wont be paying jackhammer prices unless I notice a big uptick in bass. Maybe I'm dumb but my regular mini max chatterbaits start vibrating really fast.

@Bass Rutten Thank you for that tip, I have a few bags of those and wanted something a bit meatier than the zoom split tails I've been using on my minis. Fits the bill.
