Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted Sunday at 01:18 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 01:18 PM I'm a huge fan of the kid, but Florida is the perfect storm for him. It requires years of expertise, and most importantly it renders the black box almost pointless unless you're brilliant like Scott Martin did last year......still one of the most impressive things I've ever seen in pro Bass fishing. It wasn't being star struck, it was the fact his black box couldn't produce its magic down in the dirt and grass. 1 Quote
KP Duty Posted Sunday at 01:24 PM Posted Sunday at 01:24 PM I watched a couple videos of Fothergill catching hogs on his spinning rod. Couldn't see the bait, but google AI said it was a 3/16oz bitsy bug w/ rage menace. 1 Quote
Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted Sunday at 01:29 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 01:29 PM Pretty sure he's been using a Drop Shot and Neko Rig. Those are just the baits they've discussed on live. Who knows what kind of sneaky baits he's been mixing in. I feel like the whole world is rooting for anybody but a finesse guy using scope 100% to win 😁 How epic would it be if John could pull this one out. 2 1 Quote

Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted Sunday at 02:26 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 02:26 PM I could believe that if star struck is code for not being able to find or see them on the scope 🤣 The kid fished the Classic last year and got 16th, I'm not sure how an Elite Series event is too big for him, yet his first Classic wasn't too big. 1 Quote

Well he finished 7th in the Open on Okeechobee that Martin won. It's hardly some sort of kryptonite for him. And pretty much everyone that did well there this year was using FFS it to a least augment what they were doing. Do you think Palaniuk found those fish snorkeling?🤣 2 Quote

Super User scaleface Posted Sunday at 04:36 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 04:36 PM I watch a lot of the basstrakk on these tournaments and notice over and over that big bites come in clusters. When that window opens a person might miss out if hes running around the lake. 2 Quote

Dan N Posted Sunday at 04:45 PM Posted Sunday at 04:45 PM Looks like it could be a close one. Have not watched live yet, just been checking bass trakk.ill try live for a bit Quote
stk44 Posted Sunday at 04:56 PM Posted Sunday at 04:56 PM What is going on between the live feed on Bassmaster.com and on Fox? I’m watching Deon Sanders, Zona and Sanders on FOX have the same interview they had on bass live over an hour ago? It’s kinda annoying having to stay tuned into both. 2 Quote

Gotta have something for the mainstream on network tv and nobody is catching anything at the moment. 2 Quote

Super User F14A-B Posted Sunday at 08:46 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 08:46 PM I’ll wait till the weigh-in but it looks like he clinched it.. I don’t think that was an 8 pound fish I watched it and didn’t see it weighed. Trey's weights on live are typically less than what he says.. A great classic on a grind it out lake.. I guess we’ll know by 9pm 🤣 4 Quote

I guess we’ll know by 9pm 🤣 I bet Fothergill wins by at least 5 pounds. It would have been close if he wouldn’t have got his limit. Edit: I’m also a big fan when they cut to a new scene and there is no sound. I never know if it’s intentional, my device froze, or audio has failed. They definitely are working their issues out, but I know that can’t be easy to manage all those cameras, audio devices, etc. It’s still awesome that we can watch any of this live. 1 Quote

Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted Sunday at 11:31 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 11:31 PM Congrats to Easton! By all accounts he's a fantastic young man, and obviously one of the world's greatest scopers. If they don't limit FFS usage on the Elites, Easton is destined to become one of the all time greats. I doubt we see another March Classic that isn't one on the scope though, and thus I'll always pull for the Livesay and Coxs of the universe. 5 Quote
