Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 21 Global Moderator Posted March 21 Scott Martin just landed a nice one! Kyoya also got a 6 lber I have a feeling John garret may win, he’s lethal with the Carolina rig Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 21 Author Global Moderator Posted March 21 Trey McKinney with a 7! 2 Quote
JHoss Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Garrett may be the hottest angler in the field this week. I'd put my money on him, Livesay or Milliken when it's all said and done. 1 Quote
Hogs_n_Logs Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Should be a good classic. Somewhat tough/challenging conditions but the fish being caught are quality. Makes it much more interesting and really tests all aspects of the anglers ability than a total slamfest or a tourney were theyre just scraping out bites on small fish. Quote
Super User fishballer06 Posted March 21 Super User Posted March 21 Matt Arey kicked off the day with a 6-4. I know he's looking for redemption after taking 2nd here last time. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted March 21 Super User Posted March 21 I’d love to see McKinney win this thing, outside of that I’ve got no other favorite.. 2 Quote
JHoss Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I'm fairly surprised to see McKinney's boat make it day 1. Have y'all seen the video of him trying to load his boat up during practice? 1 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 21 Author Global Moderator Posted March 21 Yes, nightmare fuel haha. I’ve had to do that once but the waves weren’t quite that big, in a hellacious thunderstorm Quote

Texas Flood Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Work has been brutal today and now half my department is gone. Please keep me in your thoughts. 9 Quote
thediscochef Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I'm watching a few of these livestreams going "man these guys are fishing spots I've never seen marks on before" and "there was no bait up in there monday" we stalled out on our warmup here and some of these guys are on either side of the stage we're actually on logan parks was up on a spot I have fished a lot thinking I was gonna do something but blanked every time. I don't think he found anything there and I'm just so shocked Quote

thediscochef Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I think this will end up taking 30+ daily average to win (edit: to be in first each day) it's not a pleasant day out there and it's not going to get much better tomorrow, south 15-25. running main lake is gonna be bouncy, northwest and straight south winds stack up here pretty hard. I'd be fishing the east shore, the protected points. also find the invasive milfoil Quote

It won't be one guy, but first place as a position will be in that range I should clarify, not to win, but to be in first each day. I think winner is in the 50s it is pretty strange to watch my fishing spots on TV. a lot of these guys fishing shallow are in places I recognize. 1 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 21 Author Global Moderator Posted March 21 McKinney is close to 30 today I bet 2 Quote
thediscochef Posted March 21 Posted March 21 yeah if he'll get out of pond creek, that place doesn't turn on real great until shad spawn. i'd be in pierce spring, lick creek, sand branch, and the south-opening creekbeds at the state park where they're doing weigh in. I bet you sunday is when the biggest bass get caught, cold front coming through that evening. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 21 Author Global Moderator Posted March 21 It’s pretty awesome to see the elites fish your home pond, think I’ve gotten to see it 3 times and will be 4 this time next year Quote
thediscochef Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I'm just trying to learn since my favorite park is off limits lol it seems we're lagging a bit from last year at this point in our season here, it's been a slow warm up. I've never seen this many dead threadfin as i did this year. I'll say that it's relieving to see them roll up to a few of the places I regard as duds and have the same experience if they can't get it done in those spots then I don't feel bad about it, and it makes me feel better about my spot choices. DinkDonkey30 Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Anyone else watching not have sound? The commercials play sound but the live video no sound on bassmasters page. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 21 Author Global Moderator Posted March 21 @DinkDonkey30, I had no sound for the kayak part but now it’s working Quote
Super User scaleface Posted March 21 Super User Posted March 21 Anybody watching the weigh-in? I cant get it. Bassmaster really needs to improve their coverage. 1 Quote

So far the feed on the bassmaster website is inconstant, lots of freezing and going to stock screen (aka technical difficulties). The youtube stream is constantly playing but its a desk crew watching/commentating the weigh in but has inconsistent coverage of the weigh in itself. Not great lol Quote
