Super User Swamp Girl Posted March 18 Super User Posted March 18 Please show your biggest bag. By "your biggest bag," I mean your five biggest bass in aggregate caught by just you on the same day, morning, or evening. If you have a total weight, please share that too. Here are my five biggest, caught last October 23rd in the morning. I didn't weigh or measure any of these because it was a challenging morning with darkness, mud, fog, and shallow flats where I unintentionally beached my canoe several times. I'm guessing they weigh more than 25 pounds because they were long and thick. Again, I didn't weigh nor measure them because I was really busy catching bass in shallow, weedy water and I paddled about six miles, fighting the wind one way and twisting up and down a tricky river. I'm not even sure that the five below were my five biggest as I caught other big ones that morning, but they represent: I'm adding a sixth that morning because it might be bigger than the fifth above. I'm guessing that bass five and six are both four-pounders, smaller than the others.: 7 Quote

Super User Swamp Girl Posted March 18 Author Super User Posted March 18 @Harold H: I contributed to Butch's bag because his bass clearly ate my bass on their way to becoming Gigantisaurases. @king fisher: Your recent bag got me thinking about my bag! 2 Quote

Butch was in California, can't catch monsters like that if they're not around, haha. But at least he caught them actually fishing unlike that scumbag Mike Long that deceived the bass world for years and was finally caught snagging bass with a big treble hook 6 minutes ago, king fisher said: May 13 2023. 7.6 7.9 8.2 8.9 10.1 pictures in order small to big Bro, those are nice bass. Harold H Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Those are epic smallmouth bags. I've never caught a smallmouth, going to make that a goal this year. I watch NDYak angler on Youtuble and he hammers some nice smallmouth, but he's in an untapped part of the country as well 2 Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted March 18 Super User Posted March 18 I’ll have to look tomorrow for pictures. My biggest bag is labeled “glad- rubbish”. Not far behind is “hefty”. 2 Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted March 18 Super User Posted March 18 You’d think I would have done better because of where I live, but in recent years the best I’ve done is 15-16 pounds. That day ( really just 4 hours), I caught 3 four pounders, and a couple 2s. I really didn’t keep track of it back in the day. 1 Quote
Super User Columbia Craw Posted March 19 Super User Posted March 19 My biggest 5 came at Clear Lake. No pictures. 8.15, 7.13, 7.11, 6.11 and 6.3 what ever that comes too. All largemouth. I had a 25 plus bag of smallmouth from Glenn’s favorite body of water. All on a Deep Little N and caught in less than 45 minutes. Best hour of bass fishing in my life. 3 1 Quote

Super User Choporoz Posted March 20 Super User Posted March 20 All in one football field size area, one bait, one short period of time. No idea if these were 5 biggest... It was fast and furious and I didn't take pics of a lot of them. After weighing a couple 5+, I quit weighing them, too. Didn't want to waste a minute while they were cooperating. 4 Quote

Super User Munkin Posted March 21 Super User Posted March 21 Best I have done in a tournament was 24-7. Best overall would be either one March day fishing a local spot where I caught my PB 8.2 along with a 6.3, 6.5, and a couple others that I didn't bother weighing because fishing was on fire. Other was at Trap Pond in Delaware one July evening where they were on a Zoom toad. Didn't have a scale with me but I caught 9 fish that went over 5lbs and I would bet money the best 5 went 30lbs. Super User gim Posted Saturday at 01:03 AM Super User Posted Saturday at 01:03 AM I put together two 20+ pound bags of bass the same week in October 2023. One was a largemouth bag and the other was a smallmouth version, just days apart. I’ll have to dig up some photos later. These are northern tier bass. Not Mexican or Florida or Texas versions. 1 Quote

Please do! 22 minutes ago, gim said: These are northern tier bass. Not Mexican or Florida or Texas versions. As I've said several times, In-Fisherman believes a northern tier lmb's weight is equivalent to 1.5 times that weight in a southern bass. They also believe that northern smallies equal southern smallies. So, your 20+ northern lmb bag is equal to a 30+ southern lmb bag, while your 20+ northern smallmouth bag is equal to a 20+ southern smallmouth bass, which is still worthy of Irish dancing. I don't know if the In-Fisherman staff is right, but they have caught a few big bass, in the north and the south, both lmb and smb. And being mostly from Minnesota, I'm certain they understand the challenges of landing big lmb that far north. 1 Quote

Open tournament of like 50 boats and I got first with a five fish limit weighing in at a whopping 4lbs 6oz! 😁 Second place was 3 something for 2 fish and I was the only boat to bring in a limit. This is probably my favorite tournament win of all time. Complete grind all day which I only caught 6 keepers with the largest measuring 13" exactly. Culled one fish for less than a 2oz upgrade in 8 hours. Allen 2 Quote
IYAOYAS Posted Monday at 08:31 AM Posted Monday at 08:31 AM I haven't had 5 that weighed as much as these three did. 6'9, 3'12, and 1'2 pounds 2 Quote
