I'm 5' 11", descended from football players and way before that, German barbarians. I'm a little Scotch and Irish too.

A scrappy Euro-mutt!

5’10” and from what I’m told I’m about half French Canadian, the other half is Hungarian with some German and a tiny bit of Scottish and English. Just what I’m told, I’ve never done Ancestry or 23&Me.

I’m 6’2” and of Irish and German descent according to my mother and father. I’m not into the whole 23 and me DNA thing, mom and dad’s word are good enough for me.

5’10”

Full blood Sicilian

I took my immediate family (2 children, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren plus husbands and wives) to Italy and Sicily over this past Christmas and New Years holidays.

While in Sicily I was able to trace my direct family line back another 4 generations to approximately 1489 and I think I can go back farther yet.

I’m 6’ and shrinking. My Great-grandfather on Dad’s side came from Cork and my Grandmother is from Montreal.
My mother came from Germany after WWII.

5 foot, 11 & 15/16ths.

Nope, never hit the magic 6 foot mark, dang it!

German ancestry. There are others mixed in there, but I refuse to submit my DNA to 23&me so they can sell my information.

6' Scottish Irish.

Have a very uncommon last name, most show up in Texas now.

5'7" and 90% Italian from Naples, Calabria and some part by Sicily. The other 10% is Irish, German with no idea from where. Digging back on my paternal side apparently we are wretched children from some scandal a Roman Catholic Cardinal had way back in the day.

At 5’9” I am the tallest person in my family.  My dad was 5’6” and was mostly English heritage.  My mom’s dad was an even 5’ tall so we could never get very tall.  My mom’s lineage is Irish and Cherokee.  So I guess I am a mixed up mess.

I worked some in Appalachia, teaching coal miners' kids.

"Don't go down that holler," I was told more than once and they weren't kidding.

I'm 5'9"-ish.

My maternal grandparents were born in Glasgow, Scotland and my paternal grandparents were born in Southern Italy.

They all came to this county in their 20's.

My parents were born and raised here.

6’1”, was 6’2”. Dad’s mom 100% Irish, don’t know about his father, whatever makes you a Johnson, narrows it right down huh? Mom’s mom and dad were Canadian French from Sherbrooke Quebec. If asked I just say American.

I’m 5’ 10” on a good day. Both sides of my family are Irish.

Interesting story, my mom’s side changed their last name when they came over here to Rogers which I’m told is English. They did that because Irish were looked down upon at the time and thought they have it a bit easier if they changed it to an English name. My mom said some of them were horse thieves so they may have changed their names but didn’t change their ways. 😁
