It is very thin diameter...by that I mean 12 lb. test is .29mm or .0112" (or something like that) while Berkley 12 lb. test in XL is .013".  You can get more on the spool with the Halo.  I bought a spool of it and casted it around the yard (in PA we have 17" of snow right now) since I can't get out fishing.  It feels really nice and slick, and hopefully, it will hold up well.  I actually just ordered a spool of P-Line Evolution which I am more excited for.  At $9 for a 300yd. spool, it is more economical than $19 for a 200yd. spool.

I have been using it in 8lb on my drop shot rod for the last few weeks. I like it. As stated it has a pretty smal diameter. It doesn't handle great, but it is pure flourocarbon so that is to be expected, and it handles better than any pure flouro i have used, which isnt many. Seems to be fairly strong. Don't have any real complaints, but im not as stoked on it as I am the Evolution, big-bass, you'll like it!

What are you using the Evolution for?  I plan to use mine (10 lb. test) on a 6'6" medium rod with hopefully a Shimano Chronarch 100B (gotta order that) for weightless senkos, t-rigged beavers, and light worms in clear water for smallies.

I have Evolution on my swimbait rods in 30lb, on one of my jig rods in 15, and on my M spinning rod in 10 for light jigs and dart heads. It is an awesome line.

Is the Evolution a thin diameter like the CX Premium?

Just wondering as I normally fish #6 for soft plastics but with the CX Premium I was able to step up to #8 because of the Diameter.

yes it is, all pound classes that I have checked are the exact same between the evolution and premium.
