How many licenses do you carry?

So I know some of us carry multiple state licenses each year. Do you just get the license for the time you'll be fishing? Get a yearly nonresident? Also what states do you keep a license in? I am fortunate to live in Western North Carolina which is a very central location to many legendary bass fishing lakes. My dad lives in KY and my wife's family live in Virginia Beach so I keep multiple states yearly licenses each year. I have a lifetime license in NC and I live just across the border into NC above Hartwell so I keep a SC yearly nonres license as well. Kentucky gets a yearly nonres license but Virginia usually just gets a license for when I actually take my boat since my brother in law is a guide on the Chesapeake bay and usually I'm fishing salt(which is covered by his boat license) when we go visit the inlaws.

I bought a lifetime Alabama license when I lived there 30 years ago.  Very glad I did.   I occasionally fish in Kentucky but not enough to justify an annual license.  Oh yeah,  I also carry a Tennessee license.

Yearly, IL,WI, IN. I do occasionally fish in MI and IA, but when I do, it's just for the period when I'm there.

When my brother was alive I did CT and MA, now it’s just MA. I never did find any good bass ponds in CT where I am, right on the border.

This year I'll be getting a WI license for the first time in a few years since I have a few tournaments I'll be fishing.  Undecided about Michigan at this time.

What's odd,

VA is a rolling year, year from date of purchase.

WV is a calendar year, ends the last day of December regardless of date of purchase.

Oh, you mean fishing licenses. Probably only three this year: NY, OH, and PA.
