KYbass1276 Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Well today I picked up my new Loomis rod MBR IMX 843c 7'MH and paired it up with a Chronarch 100B. I plan on using this as my C rig rod as I have had alot of succes with this method last season and I am hooked on the C rig. So far I think I'm going to really like the rod but I'm not real sure about the reel yet. Maybe I am so used to my curado it will take a little time to get use to the 100B. But in the reels defense I didn't spend alot of time outside to throughly test it considering it was 10 degrees outside with a wind chill of -2 so I really couldn't feel my hands enough to really get a feel for it. The one thing I can say I don't like about the 100b compared to the curado is I can't access the reel brakes as easy on it as the curado. Not much room there for big fingers Soon as the ice is gone I'm going to be out Quote
Hot n Tot Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Congrats on the new rod, that's also the one I usually use for c-rigs. I generally put a Curado on mine so cannot comment on the reel, although I've been considering a Chronarch for my 6' GLX worm rod; either the 50mg or the 100 size Chronarch or Curado. I've heard nothing but positive comments about the Chronarch, so I'd be surprised if you found that you prefered the Curado to it; nothing wrong with Curados though. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 17, 2007 Super User Posted February 17, 2007 That is is GREAT rod and using it as dedicated C-rig gear is perfect, but you can fish practically any technique with that equipment. Congratulations! Quote

I have the Chronarch 50 Mg on a 6-6 MH IMX that I use for t-rig and love it. I have a 7' Heavy IMX (844) with a Curado that I use for pitching. For my c-rig, I use a Titanium All Star 7' MH with 50 lb braid and floro leader on a Curado and it is sensitive enough. These are the old Curados, but I have a new one on the way. AS for the Chronarch vs the Curado .. Chronarch. Quote
