farmerfishing Posted Thursday at 12:38 PM Posted Thursday at 12:38 PM On cloudy days I love a crankbait it takes some time but the bass gets crazy and just start striking it hard Quote
Skunkmaster-k Posted Thursday at 04:06 PM Posted Thursday at 04:06 PM A 3.5” Ripper swimbait is where I would start. Chartreuse pepper with a splash of red dip and dye. Thread that goodness onto a 1/4 oz ball head jig and watch the magic happen. Quote

Super User Mobasser Posted Thursday at 06:32 PM Super User Posted Thursday at 06:32 PM I fish really clear water. Cloudy and overcast days are my favourite. On cloudy days, the bass tend to move away from cover and roam around more. 7 Quote
jbmaine Posted Thursday at 06:56 PM Posted Thursday at 06:56 PM The more overcast the better. Chartreuse spinnerbait is the ticket for me. 2 Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted Thursday at 07:05 PM Super User Posted Thursday at 07:05 PM Overcast w wind or current as some of us would say. Spinnerbaits, rattlebaits, squarebills or vibrating jigs.. in a 20 mph day with peaks of sun and warming water, a spinnerbait, no sun w rain, crank bait. or rattlebaits. That’s my style.. 2 Quote
Super User WRB Posted Thursday at 08:29 PM Super User Posted Thursday at 08:29 PM Overcast reduces depth of light allowing predators like bass to roam more. Bass have superior eye sight then their prey advantage bass. If the bass are active hunting they will chase lures take your pick. I prefer to use jigs in lieu of faster moving lures because reduced light allows crawdads to be more active and big bass eat crawdads. Tom 6 Quote
Super User Bird Posted Thursday at 09:21 PM Super User Posted Thursday at 09:21 PM I fish very clear water and overcast is much preferred. Steep shady banks can be fun on sunny days. 2 Quote
detroit1 Posted Thursday at 09:39 PM Posted Thursday at 09:39 PM Overcast and a possibility of rain helps keep the "pleasure" boaters off the lake. 🙂 4 Quote

Rucksack Posted Thursday at 11:27 PM Posted Thursday at 11:27 PM Overcast days are "spinner bait" days for me. My favorite color is white with two willow leaves. 3 Quote
looking45 Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM Posted yesterday at 12:27 AM When it’s overcast, I throw top water for spots Quote

It might ruin someone’s tan, but quite often the fishing is very good. With very few other bodies out there. Plus, you can leave the neds and drop shots and other finesse plastics at home. Grip it and rip it. 2 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted yesterday at 02:41 AM Super User Posted yesterday at 02:41 AM Overcast & Snow is a fan favorite here in the north woods. Best Time for the BJ's . . . Bladed Jig and Jerkbaits. A-Jay 4 Quote
MonsterZero Posted yesterday at 03:54 AM Posted yesterday at 03:54 AM Only thing better than an overcast day is an overcast day with fog. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted yesterday at 03:57 AM BassResource.com Administrator Posted yesterday at 03:57 AM Wouldn't that just be.....fog? 2 Quote
