Anybody using this yet? I bought a couple spools to go on some new spinning setups. When I was spooling the last rod, the line broke about 20 yards in. Both sides were severely frayed. I want to believe it rubbed against something in the garage while spooling and that's why it tore. But now I have confidence issue with it and likely won't get to test it out on a fish before the first tournament of the year. If you have used it, have you had any issues with it?

I have it on a BC reel, have test cast in the yard, not yet in the water.  Mine is 10 pound test and it looks and feels very good.  I suspect if it's frayed, it got cut on something, possibly a cracked tiptop or guide?  I have never had what everyone always suspects:  "A bad spool of line."

So question for both of you, how do you like it just based on initial impressions? Is it smooth, and do you feel the diameter is correct without actually measuring it or does it seem they’re stating breaking strength but using larger than listed diameters? Again I don’t expect measurements and also @MickD what reel are you using the 10 pound on as most people tend to not recommend any braid under 30 pounds on a casting reel, and if you don’t mind sharing your initial impressions after casting it in the yard I for one would greatly appreciate your opinions.

I also am using 10lb. It broke between the spool and the rod tip as I was spooling up, so the only option would be a bad spool or it hit something in my garage, which is entirely possible because my garage is a mess.

I haven't even made a cast with it yet. First impressions aside from the breakage have been good. It seems comparable to power pro, but at a better price point. Honestly, I gave it a shot because my LTS didn't have yellow or blue Power Pro in 10lb and the mid-point marker in the Revolve spool intrigued me. I never noticed it on the first spool so I'm pretty sure one of those rods has 120 yards and the other has 80. I went slower on the second spool and was able to pick up on the midway marker, which was neat. I know 100 yards is more braid then I need, but for $10/reel I shouldn't have to respool for a few years.

I picked some up from bps the other day to try. I haven't spooled any reels with it yet. Besides for some spinning reels I'm going to try it out on a gen 5 revo SX SS. I heard supposedly that the shallow spools make it easier to use thinner braid. I saw some of the inshore guys using the Lews SP SS reels for speckled trout and redfish. So this is what I got the reel for.

@msgf91 Using braid on shallow spools is something you could spend a lot of time reading about on here from some real experienced members including but not limited to…on second thought I’ll not name anyone but the information on here is really well written out and pretty informative to me at least.

Eric 26, I have not measured it yet, so don't know its diameter. It seems round and smooth, tightly woven.  I'm using on an Ark Gravity BFS reel casting very light lures.  It seems to cast well so far, but we'll see better on the water. I've had trouble with some braids before seeming to do well in the back yard but not so good on the water.  Maybe they get waterlogged/heavy and spin out contacting the reel structure?  I won't have it on the water for another month. 

Regarding thinner braid on casting reels, I think most BFS reels have a more aggressive wrap angle on the level wind to prevent digging in. Update 3/5: Mine measures .0085 inch diameter.  Sufix calls it .008.
