That’s an epic trip! 🤯😎

When our season opens, I’ll be hunting for a Canadian DD (that’s 5 pounds on the metric system 😝)

Brother, that's incredible. You're definitely in the right area for big girls, throwing the right swimbait. What swimbaits did you catch those girls on?

My takeaway is that you catch DDs in heavy fog. Look at those shorelines!

Remarkable bag of Bass ~ @22RangerZ520R

Congrats.

However, what's far more impressive to me at least,

is the 10 YEARS of Blood Sweat & Tears it took

to put yourself in the right place at the right time doing the right thing.

Day after day, month after month, year after year all for days like this.

It rarely happens by accident.

Figure Two years of fishing your Arse off in all types of conditions,

for each one of the beauties.

I know how hard you work at it too.

The planning & preparation, the time, the travel, the sacrifice & the drive to stick with it

not willing to settle for less.

THAT'S what it takes.

Congrats again.

btw, nice job on the pics, especially if you were fishing solo.

Ice out/open water may be later this year here.

What state were you in?   You fishing with a guide or anybody else?

With all that fog, I figure he was fishing in Maine. We must have one of those powerplant lakes that never freeze. I just wish I knew where it is.

Appreciate it sir.  Yeah, I have put in a bunch of effort and had many slices of humble pie along the way.  It makes it that much more sweeter!  I go solo all the time, so the pics are with an old school tripod that I did videos on my phone then took video captures for the pics.  Guess I need to get with the times and get a GoPro...lol.

Yeah, crazy to think some guys have caught 50lb bags in one day.  I was tickled pink to get 54lb over 7 days!

Thanks!  I'm no disclosing location and exact baits at this time.  I've been burnt in the past with giving out too much info and I'm going to use a little internet wisdom on this, hope you can understand.

Nah, I'll never catch his DD count!  I'm at 13 DD's as of right now.  The goals are a teener largemouth and a 8lb+ smallie.
