Sp33dSnake Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hello everybody. Got on here to learn new stuff and meet new people who love the sport. I've been fishing for thirty years, I usually fish freshwater with artificial lures. Typically fish from the Central FL to the South Florida area. Currently have no boat (working on that), but I have a KLR 650 motorcycle that I will run a backpack and a 2 pc rod and reel and I can get to some pretty off the beaten path spots. Good to be on here. 2 Quote

GRiver Posted February 28 Posted February 28 Hi, central Fl here too. That KLR will get you to places you a boat can’t. 1 Quote

There are probably hundreds of ponds, strip pits, etc and huge, bodacious FLMB in them. 😉 Quote

Sounds wicked cool! I also fish the off-the-beaten spots. Cool that we have similar fishing styles even though I'm about as far north (Maine) as one can be in the contiguous U.S. and you're about as far south as one can be. Can you share some pics of where you fish? Here's where I fish: 1 Quote

Ultimately, I will get a boat one of these days; it's on the list. 1 Quote

But an enduro bike doesn't worry so much about that. Over the years, I really haven't had people tell me to get away from places or anything like that. Honestly in my car, I've had pretty good luck at places like Lakeport or boat ramps like Scott Driver. South Bay and Pahokee ain't too bad either. But again, ultimately, I'm going to end up getting something like a Tracker 175. Something I can fish the lake with, but also get in some shallow water and boldly go where no big bass boat has gone before. 1 Quote
Bass Rutten Posted Tuesday at 07:14 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:14 PM Welcome from central Florida! My dad had a pair of yamaha xt 550's when I was a kid, I've actually been thinking about getting into dual sport bikes myself when finances allow. Quote
