Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted Thursday at 11:39 AM Global Moderator Posted Thursday at 11:39 AM Here we go, takeoff in 30 minutes. Surely we will see some big ones brought in, loved seeing Kennedy frog fishing last time they stopped here. For the Scott Martin fans, he will be on the halftime show today discussing his DQ 3 Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted Thursday at 11:59 AM Global Moderator Posted Thursday at 11:59 AM This one I will pay a little attention too. I have 2 100+ boat tournaments coming up. Considering the conditions we have, I won’t pay much attention if at all to what they’ll use, more interested in how and where. Mike 3 Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted Thursday at 12:04 PM Author Global Moderator Posted Thursday at 12:04 PM Interviews before takeoff sounded like there is a lot of empty beautiful water and the boats are all grouped up. Some said water was dirty and vegetation was lacking this is always funny to me, if you want to see lacking vegetation come to where I live, it’s almost total zero 1 Quote

Some said water was dirty and vegetation was lacking Yeah They had a spraying party not long ago but trust me, there is plenty of clear water in pockets in a few areas and fields of submerged ell grass. But the challenge is gonna be not spending too much time riding around on the hunt, which is hard to do there. Pull up on an area they are moving in and out of and have the big stick loaded. Bed and Carolina rigging should be hot. But it’s “The Lake” it’ll change on you before you’re ready, but these guys know that. Mike 1 Quote

I guess the lack of vegetation is due to high water? 1 Quote

In other areas may be but not so much on The Lake. It’s a shallow bowl. You have to consider where you’re at on the lake and conditions at the time you’re there to consider anything “high water” The biggest problem is that it opens areas for Mama to hide that are inaccessible to boats. Not because of poor growth of vegetation because of poor light Mike 1 Quote

Yes that's true in general but vegetation will grow much deeper than Lake O's bottom depth. The reason for the lack of vegetation is because they have been spraying the hell out of it. 1 Quote

Rarely do I ever have a positive experience around either be it at the ramp or on the water. Quote

Looks like they only had enough marshals for about half the field today. 1 Quote
