Captain Chaos II Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 How light can you go with the Steez baitcaster?? Wondering if you can toss light/finesse lures with it....I hope to get one in the summer. Thanks Quote
Captain Chaos II Posted February 15, 2007 Author Posted February 15, 2007 Thanks. Checked it out and does seem that it is possible to go finesse with this reel....berry, berry interesting. Any Steez owners have any reel world experience? Reel, real .... I crack myself up. Quote
Super User Raul Posted February 15, 2007 Super User Posted February 15, 2007 Go to that place 's forum, click in the "Enthusiast" section, there 's you 'll find lots of opinions from people that actually own the reel. Here ? I know that Redlinrobert has 3 reels ....... I don 't remember anybody else who actually have it besides from him. Quote
SCarter Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Doesn"t Avid have the Steez or the Zillion? Quote
The_Natural Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 After reading Tackle Tour's first impression; I don't know how you couldn't want one! "Are you one of those who would absolutely love your Daiwa Pixy were it not for its finesse drag or shallow line capacity? Do you love your Alphas Ito Ai but wish it had the clicking drag adjustment and spool tension knob? Did you miss the boat on the 2004 Limited Edition Type R+ reel and wish you could still get one - easily? Have you been wondering, why doesn't Daiwa just make a regular production reel with the Type R+ tuned rotor? Well, I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but the Daiwa Steez just may be the answer to your dreams." Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted February 16, 2007 Super User Posted February 16, 2007 Tackle Tour = product wh@res Those guys are not "unbiased" they are "buy us" Quote
RiskKid. Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I have one. It was a Christmas present to me from the baitmonkey. I have used it very little to date but it is a very sweet reel. Light as a feather. It will be my "go to" rig this year. I don't think you would have any problem with light lures. I have cast some 1/4 oz plugs playing with it in the yard.....smooth as silk and no problem with distance. Is it worth the money.......that is a personal preference but it is a very nice piece of equipment. Quote
