Justbass11 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 It is that time of year for me to clean some reels, line them up and get ready to do some fishing today, hopefully that is 😬 1 Quote
Super User GreenPig Posted February 25 Super User Posted February 25 I clean reels in the Summer, it's my slow season. 2 Quote
Super User casts_by_fly Posted February 25 Super User Posted February 25 i cleaned and lubed a couple weeks ago. I wait to line them until closer to the season normally, but I had a free saturday where I had to stay home and had nothing else to do so I started the process. Still one or two more that I haven't decided on the line I'm going to use just yet, but if I had to go fishing right now I'd be in okay shape. 1 Quote
MonsterZero Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I have been putting the deep cleaning off for the whole season. I want to clean and relube the bearings in the baitcasters, so I have to pick the bearing oil up on Thursday. 1 Quote
MRQturbo Posted February 26 Posted February 26 My reels are all serviced and ready to go back onto my rods... Still need to reseal all the cork with fresh coat of U40... Still 2 months before our ice all melts tho... 1 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 26 Super User Posted February 26 I just finished 16 reels and still have several to go. It's fun at first but after a while, my mind tells me it's time to go fishing. 1 Quote
swhit140 Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I did all my reels last month, cleaned & lubed. I had a loose guide on one rod so I repaired that a couple weeks ago. We still have ice on our lakes, but with the warm weather this week we'll probably be seeing some open water. 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 26 Super User Posted February 26 My gear has been in B Zero status for a while. And it will still be a while before we have open water. A-Jay 1 Quote
