Super User Catt Posted March 13 Super User Posted March 13 Had a drain put in today The next step is to have the blockage removed. My surgeon suggested MD Anderson but they may not take me since it's not cancerous. Next choices would be Baton Rogue or New Orleans. Any idea? 1 Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted March 13 Super User Posted March 13 I can't understand why they'd only do it if it's cancerous....it's a health issue, they should work on it. Personally, I'd pick Baton Rogue - it's closer - and see if they can get you into Ochsner...it's the #1 rated hospital in LA. 1 Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 14 Super User Posted March 14 @MN Fisher They haven't said no yet, but there's a possibility. Both are Ochsner, so in the one I'm in now. New Orleans is Tulane 2 Quote
Functional Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Insurance is going to cost you an arm and a leg. Might I suggest ole faithful? Or if its really bad...might be some side effects but free if it doesnt work! Says right on the bottle. Sorry, since we aren't in cancer territory anymore. 3 Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 14 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 14 ^^ Perhaps too soon for this^^ but at the same time it represents the relief and joy we all have that it's not cancer! No doubt you still have a rough road ahead of you @Catt but at least you'll have a positive outcome! 2 Quote
Super User islandbass Posted March 14 Super User Posted March 14 @Catt wow. Sorry I’m late to the party and I’m glad it wasn’t cancer. More prayers sent your way! 😇 1 Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 14 Super User Posted March 14 @Glenn y'all help me keep my sense of humor 😉 Thank y'all for the continues prayers, God blessed with a good night of rest. I feel the best I have all week. Just saw the doctor, he said the lab is working on the culture from the fluids removed. They will send the results to MD Anderson. With these results the doctor can determine what antibiotics to send me home with. Thank You Jesus 14 2 Quote
