Allen Yes, the Shrimp pattern seems to be right up there with the Fine Art & the Respect series ~ Meaning frustratingly scares. A couple of months back I went Full on Ninja and under the cover of darkness managed to snag a few from Yuki Ito's night stand. Bet he'll never miss them A-Jay Quote
AbelG Posted February 27 Posted February 27 My baits of the year by far was a Careaga. A brand from argentina who makes only two tipes of lure, the "timbocito" (small size) and "timbó" (normal size). It doesn't matter the size and color, any one works. Dorados has teeth, so they can destroy lures as you can see 4 Quote
BassKat Posted February 27 Posted February 27 @AbelG Very cool picture. There's a redfish lure that looks similar but I can't think of the name. Your posts about Golden Dorados first brought the species to my attention - they are beautiful fish we enjoy hearing about them! Quote
Super User WRB Posted February 27 Super User Posted February 27 Dorado are called Mahi Mahi in Hawaii and common along the Pacific coast Mexico south. Tom Quote
BassKat Posted February 27 Posted February 27 I "think" what AbelG is targeting is Salminus brasiliensis versus the Mahi mahi (Coryphaena hippurus). Both are amazing fish. 1 Quote
