Bill Lowen comes off pretty likable. I’m rooting for him.

I've known Bill for going on 20 years now, and he's one of the most likeable, nicest guys on the trail.  He's similar to Randy Howell.  Just an all-around, easy-going, very humble guy.

This is the first time I have seen the "Halftime Show". Maybe the show was bad on other days but this is actually a welcome and much needed change up.

 

Just the the 3 ups and 3 downs was nice. The Penalty Box discussion was good too. Apparently Garrett and McKinney had wake zone violations. Why is this stuff practically kept a secret?  Apparently the no wake zones there are confusing as hell and guys made honest mistakes.

 

The regular stuff with Tommy and Company and is sooooooo dry without Mark Zona.   Like it will put you to sleep dry.   Speaking of Penalty Boxes which, Tommy and Co.  mentioned that Garrett was the last guy to start fishing, but it was like they were afraid say why.  And then they go to the table and show the lures that the ACTUAL ANGLERS were just showing and doing a better job of it.

 

Then I saw what's his name providing an update of who you should have had on your Fantasy Team. Fantastic, maybe show me who the best Okeechobee guys are.

I fished a tournament out of Jeffersonville off Duffy landing once in I think like 99.. He didn’t win but finished high. Very personable I never suspected he’d fish the BASS tournament trail or FLW for that matter. But river fishing is his thing and fishing the tributary’s is where it’s at mostly. With a few exceptions, like when George Cochran won from Cox’s park which looking across from duffys landing you can see very easily. He won the Classic by running up river then after some time coming back to a weed bed and caught his limit.. George was a helluva fisherman..

I was in the military at the time but followed it because well it was home lol I think that tournament was like 86? Anyway, a little sideways on my post I guess..

I'd like to see Bill win this. I didn't know much about him until this event. He seems like a nice enough guy and he's from my home state. Always like to see a "local" guy do well.

Watching Lowen fish and Przekurat ride around watching tv demonstrates the difference in era’s of fishing.
