BASS will never learn to stop scheduling these early derbies in FL.   Ever since I've been following BASS events, this has always been a huge complaint.

Meanwhile they could be having a smash fest in TX, LA, AL, or TN.

Casting competitions by WWE wrestlers......yeah come on NPFL 😆

It's 17d here, and I bet the weights would be higher on Lay Lake than St Johns right now.

Pure FLMB in Florida just don't like cold fronts.     These guys would be catching 25-30lb bags on Pickwick or Guntersville today.

It’s supposed to warm up. It’ll be fine.

They hit St. John’s in April last year

Have they said why the broadcast on Roku only ran until 10am? Also doesn't look like the bags today will be anything special. Listening to Clunn and the guys was entertaining while Hackney was flipping docks. KJ Queen hauling his boat with a GM work van didnt get nearly enough attention. Tompkins also has a pretty neat tow rig. Looks like an old welder/pipeline truck.

And the anglers and fans complemented BASS on doing so.

Milliken is right about pro Bass fishing, and especially BASS.   Until there's enough profit in the product itself, the viewing experience will always be lacking.    BASS has to worry about making money from venues as much as the spectators, that's never going to be a winning formula.

When they figure out how to make money by going to the lakes that are the most exciting, at the most exciting times of year, they'll have a winning formula.   Until then we're at the mercy of Chambers of Commerce.

The product is so dull they haven't shown live fishing in about an hour........we've been watching thrilling content of WWE wrestlers flip a casting plug 5 feet.

BASS has the worst in boat camera quality. Every year it’s nothing but constant buffering and blurry footage.

It's really night and day watching MLF coverage vs. the garbage that BASS puts out.

We haven't gotten to the weigh in yet where it's always an adventure if they can get it working right.

BASS is getting hammered in their comment section.

What pray tell is wrong with liking a Florida Tournament on the St. John’s river? Maybe I’m biased, having lived in Jax for many years I love it!

Nothing wrong with St. John's River.   One of the best fisheries in the country.

I have a problem with scheduling any FL derby early in the year.   You always run such a high risk of a cold front which will lock down the bite.

I’m not surprised tbh, it was like that last year and I haven’t even tried to watch this today. But I had equally frustrating problems watching MLF on the Harris chain last week. It was an interesting tournament though. I was shocked that Lane pulled it off..

Why should pros be scared of a tough bite and why should anyone cow down to an internet comment section ?

many pros and fans alike enjoy a grinder. Also, 22 lbs by noon is not a tough bite anyhow

Interesting, doesn’t feel like a locked down bite to me. 🤣

Exactly. A tough bite and cold fronts are real life scenarios..

MLF is amateur hour too. Only 6 cameras and commercials for days.

If they were fishing up north it would be frigid and they would be talking about what the hot FFS jig and minnow combination is.

I think I prefer a tough bite competition anyways.

Any product should listen to its consumers. If enough consumers start to dislike it the product gets worse or ends altogether. Take NASCAR for example. The more they try to branch out the more the run off the hardcore fan base. Then the hardcore fans go elsewhere. Dirt racing, the cars tour etc. Nascar then shows they have these knockout crowds at select events but as a whole the product looses. Changes keep getting made product gets worse now NASCAR is talking about selling the majority stake by 2026. That has never before been a thought or possibility. All in all it stems from ignoring the fan base.

On another note a lot of big names still showing zeros on the board. Take, Hammner, Feider, Combes,Kyoya, Lee etc. I find it hard to believe these guys are fighting off skunks but anything is possible.
