DaveT63 Posted February 19 Posted February 19 Just picked up a couple bladed jig micros for my BFS rig. What are y'all using for trailers on these, if anything? Thanks, Dave Quote
Str8BraidPowa Posted February 19 Posted February 19 I have had the best luck with a small single tail grub (2.5" or 3" from mister twister). They are easy to find near the crappie baits. 1 Quote
Super User FryDog62 Posted February 19 Super User Posted February 19 I use a 3 inch Spunk Shad… I don’t think you want anything that kicks very hard, the micro sized bladed jig blade isn’t very big and a wild kicking trailer could throw its vibration/action off. 3 Quote

The 3" spunk shad didn't exist when I started using the micro or that might be my pick. I like the tiny fluke because they're pretty easy to source and come in a 20 pack. 2 Quote
BlakeMolone Posted February 19 Posted February 19 3 inch power minnow, cut down to size if needed. Cheap, looks great, and you get the powerbait scent. 1 Quote
Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted February 19 Super User Posted February 19 Like @softwateronly said, the Damiki 3" Armor Shad is an amazing micro bladed jig trailer. I've caught hundreds and hundreds of fish on them attached to Flashback Minis and Mini Max chatterbaits. The 3.5 Spunk Shad is another good one. 1 1 Quote
TheSwearingAngler Posted February 20 Posted February 20 AlabamaSpotHunter put me onto the Armor Shads, I use the 2.5 and 3 inch.. I also really like the fish or die dagger, they’re a little more spendy but super durable as well. 1 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 21 Super User Posted February 21 2in and 3in Dolive Craw, 3in Dolive Beaver, Great Lakes Finesse Snack Craw, and my favorite, Valley Hill Devil Shaker. You can scratch the above baits.... I missed the part about it being a micro bladed jig trailer. Quote
PondProwler9000 Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I'm another that BamaSpotHunter (bait monkey's advocate) put on Damiki Armour Shads. By the way, what micro chatter are you throwing? 2 Quote
MRQturbo Posted February 22 Posted February 22 Question.. Are you supposed to feel the blades thump like a regular bladed jig?... I tried the micro once and never again because I could not feel any vibration of the blades.. Quote

I fish the 1/16" flash backs on a ultralight rod and you would know it was bladed jig down there. Quote
MediumMouthBass Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Like others have already stated, if micro as in Flashback Mini, or the actual Micro bladed jig the Daimiki Armor Shads are #1. Followed by Berkleys Twitch Tail Minnow 3", and The Minnow 2". If you really want to increase your catches of bass, monster bluegill/crappie and trout too ad a scented Gulp Minnow, or Leech/Hellgrammite. And the Lake fork Tackle Baby Shad too. Depends on the rod, anytime i threw the 1/16-1/8oz versions i would barely feel it unless reeling it very fast to the point it was on the surface. However thrown on a stiffer L-ML rod with a piece of split shot added a few inches above makes a big improvement for me for vibration and it staying where its supposed to. Quote

primetime Posted Thursday at 12:31 AM Posted Thursday at 12:31 AM 2.5" bass assassin flukes and small grubs 2-3"....I like throwing them on my light spinning rod. Quote
