On lots of trips I'll catch nothing. I feel this puts less stress on the fish and ensures that there will be more healthy fish in the future. Sweet ~ I do that for 4-5 months at a time. In fact I'm doing it right now ! 😎 A-Jay 1 3 Quote

There was a TV show featuring Maine's game wardens and I was hoping to meet one of the guys I'd seen on the show. Sigh. 2 Quote

Super User WRB Posted 3 hours ago Super User Posted 3 hours ago I credit my skill in detecting and getting solid hook set after making a long cast over 40 yards using twin spin spinner baits. Why…the old twin spin was a vertical helicopter falling lure that required keeping in touch with the line vibration from the blades. When the blades stopped before hitting bottom a bass had it. I couldn’t move enough line to get a hook using the rod and developed the reel set cranking the line tight then firm rod sweep to complete the hook set. I adopted my horizontal jig presentation from the twin spin strike detection feeling live movements and hook set. Without that experience would have missed all my giant bass catches. Tom 4 Quote

That really surprises me. Just to be clear, you caught all your biggest bass on a falling spinnerbait, right? 1 Quote

If excessive speed and excessive fish in the livewell are crimes, excessive fun should be too. 2 Quote
