My brother in law was hanging out in water to his neck when a bluegill bit his nipple. One of the funniest things I've seen. Haven't seen him go in the lake without a shirt on since. 1 Quote
MonsterZero Posted Monday at 06:51 PM Posted Monday at 06:51 PM I exert a sort of gravitational force that pulls the single chattiest individual within 1 square mile into my intimate space, to prevent me from fishing until I have heard the tale of their entire bloodline going back a minimum of 13 generations. Never fails. 1 3 Quote

MediumMouthBass Posted Monday at 07:01 PM Posted Monday at 07:01 PM I can do many things for bass fishing, some bad, some marginal, some decent, some good, some great. But what i am best at is being persistent. I fish many small lakes, these are very high pressured. After everyone else gives up im still there casting over and over again, sometimes even hours in the same spot. Although my 2nd best thing is distance, i can cast farther than anyone else at the local lakes when i am bank fishing. And i speak from experience when i say this, because getting an extra 5 yards from the person there before me has given me many bass catches. 3 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted Monday at 09:57 PM Global Moderator Posted Monday at 09:57 PM I'm the driver of the struggle bus, but in a good way. I thrive in tough conditions. If they're jumping in the boat, I spin out and try to do too much it seems like. If it's a grind, working for every bite kind of day, that's when I'm the most dangerous. I'll pick things apart and squeeze every fish I can out of an area. I'm also an expert junk fishermen, which I think the two things kind of go hand in hand. 5 Quote

I've been the victim of both those attacks. 😂 Pulling fish from the thickest cover around is where I really excel, but I'm pretty good at catching them in the dark too. Quote

papajoe222 Posted yesterday at 03:53 AM Posted yesterday at 03:53 AM Mine is forgetting my game plan the instant my foot hits the front deck and I revert to my thought process as a teenager. It's kind of like what happens when you head into a room to do something and as soon as you pass through the doorway to that room, you forget why you were going in there (anyone over 50 can relate). In my case, I research the body of water, the weather for the previous few days as well as the current trend, put together a plan and a back up in case I'm way off base, etc. l go over the plan in my head as I drive to the lake, to the point that I visualize putting it in action, launch the boat, park and untie from the dock and the second my foot hits the deck................................... 1 2 Quote
Super User senile1 Posted 22 hours ago Super User Posted 22 hours ago I have no superpower. Combining many of the traits mentioned so far such as persistence, patience, determination, casting skill, awareness of bass behavior, etc., I am able to catch bass on a regular basis and sometimes catch some big ones in the process. It took me a few years of honing my skills and the plan for the future is continuous improvement. It has taken work, though working to be a better angler is work I love. There is no superpower involved. Quote
