I bought this rod hoping it was a little heavier version of a Shimano xpride  EXC610MB. I was hoping the Daiwa Zillion rod would be a better fit for deep diving jerkbaits. Ie Berkley Stunna 112 + 2.
Both rods are 6’10. The xpride is medium with a moderate fast action weighted 1/4-3/4 oz while the Daiwa Zillion is 6’10 with a medium heavy power and what Daiwa calls a “Regular” action which I understood as moderate fast. It is weighted 1/4-1 oz. Tackle Warehouse shows this as a bladed jig rod which i thought would translate to a good topwater/jerkbait rod as well as be good for bladed jigs. I was wrong. The rod is closer to a moderate action than a moderate fast action, diameter is substantially bigger than the xpride, and it is somewhat  tip heavy. I guess due to all the glass in the blank it is also heavier than i want for a jerkbait rod and for me a tip heavy rod doesn’t work for jerkbaits either. I learned all this by fishing it all day yesterday so there is no returning it. I’ll probably keep as a bladed jig/spinnerbait/squarebill/crankbait rod.

Bummer the rod didn't do what you had hoped.  As for your og problem, take a look at the old 2018 Poison Adrena 6'11M+/F.  The nishine 115MD gets about 15-18' and the PA is the only rod I want to throw it with.  Those PA's should still be floating around and also probably discounted.  It'll serve as a great worm rod as well, kinda special imo.
