Brian11719 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I84h_I3GMWU TLDR Spinning Models 6103SF 704SF Casting Models 705CB 735C 702C 703C $79.99ea / DSG exclusive Not on either company website yet and no mention of the type of blank, components or warranty in the video but they do have a cork handle which you typically had to go up to the Fury line for. I'm probably not going to be getting any of these as I typically go for something a little more expensive but thought it was cool to offer this many options in a rod series at this price point and it seems like they might be a pretty good value (again don't have enough info to confirm that yet) so figured I'd share... 1 Quote
Eric 26 Posted February 8 Posted February 8 I’m wondering if they’re replacing the Lews Carbon Fire exclusive rods with these? Quote

Yeah that's what they reminded me of as well. I'm betting the crankbait and frog rod might do ok since you don't need a ton of sensitivity for that type of thing anyway and you would get what seems to look like a decent option for $80 and potentially less if DSG ever puts them on sale / clearance... 1 Quote
dk2429 Posted Sunday at 07:24 AM Posted Sunday at 07:24 AM Per Gary Dobyns from the Dobyns Facebook group “The Frenzy Series is a joint venture between Dick's Sporting Goods and Dobyns. Guys, when a retailer has almost 800 locations, they're simply a big deal. The buyers at Dick's that I work with are really good guys that I've known for years. They asked about a joint venture and the Frenzy Series was created. They chose the models that they feel the best about to start and I made them. They're starting with 6 models but there are already another 5 that are made/approved that can be added quickly to the line-up. The rods are 100% graphite, feature a full cork handle, and rigged with Sea Guide guides. Yes, as with all my rods, the balance is key. They are very clean, good-looking rods and, honestly, a steal at $79.99.” 1 Quote
lunkerboss923 Posted Sunday at 10:11 PM Posted Sunday at 10:11 PM Looks like I found a couple rods for my kayak. Throw on a Lew's, SLX or Feugo and I'm set. I always get nervous with my Megabass, G Loomis, and Exprides on my kayak. 1 Quote
