Ordered 3 blanks on black friday sale, week or two before.  Got them 1st week or so of January.  Had a blank break upon inspection/load testing.  After sending the same email to 5 different people (guess they don't forward emails there?)  I get a response 3 days later that they are sending a replacement.  I asked when....no answer.  I asked again Monday....no answer.  Send an email today.......crickets?  What is wrong with this place?  I've ordered two times and both times had quality issues.  At least the first time they sent me a rod right away.  I even told them I'd take a different in stock rod if this isn't available.....no answer?  Guess they don't want me to use there products anymore?

The service or rather the lack of it far overrides any potential quality or performance advantage they MIGHT have.  I only use them if the client obtains the blank because I don’t want the blowback.

The supply chain issues we encountered during Covid kind of got us used to waiting for merchandise. In the aftermath some companies are using that to get away with manufacturing on order instead of keeping inventory. They’re just not tying up their cash in inventory. It’s good business if you can get away with it. NFC pushes it to the limit and compounds the problem with poor communication to put it lightly.

Thank you.  I figured after I asked about getting a replacement that wasn't my exact order just something in stock and never heard back maybe something else was going on.  We should start a pole to see when everyone thinks my replacement will come!  This will be my last order.  I like the idea of having the customer order the blank themselves.

I have a simple question for you, you're the maker of blanks, and you have them on sale and you have close to 200 blanks of all types in your inventory. The world is picking blanks from that selection, you have a payroll to meet, material costs to contend with, rent to pay, family expenses like everyone else. Do you choose to make a large amount of every blank in the hopes that someday someone will come along and buy everyone, while you rent warehouse space and pay taxes on the inventory, putting my business in the control of customer selection and whim, or keep inventory down, build what is needed when it is needed like the successful companies like Toyota, etc. in fact this concept is named after Toyota. If you want blanks when you order them, immediate service, you can get a hold of them and see if they can supply that, and you will gladly pay MSRP on every blank. You forget they also make other products and factory Edge Rods, all these are making a higher profit than selling blanks, don't believe me, why do most companies no longer sell blanks anymore? You're the customer, you want it, why can't you get it just for the asking? If you want variety, innovation, etc. you protect it, if you want Chinese products with old designs and carbons, then why did you even bother going to the NFC site? You could have a 10 dollar produced blank, pay 500% profit to the company and then be happy as a clam when they send you a new blank out of their large inventory they can afford on the profit and market share you are supporting. You can do either without telling us all about it.

I still can't figure out what the simple question was.  What is the simple question?

A broken rod when it’s new sucks, everyone would agree with this. The business model is the same as it’s been for years now. The thing or problem really is the very poor communication they’ve displayed over the years. No progress there . Trey Kistler basically fired NFC because of poor production abilities and receiving many subpar blanks. I know this because I received one from Kistler. Which was a bust on both NFC and Treys builders, both companies missed an obvious flaw. Trey made it right of course but it wasn’t long and Kistler moved to an offshore source.

No hard feelings, but business is business. Hope you get satisfaction because none of us enjoy such a problem as you’re having.

I get all of that but 5 of the same email to different people at edge/nfc for the warranty claim.  Then 3 days later a email stating I am getting a new blank and then no eta, nothing.  I've messaged 3 times.  They could tell me a month or June.  I really don't care.  I just want to know.  I also offered to take a different blank or a refund.  It isn't about the product, it's about customer service.  I've had other blanks fail that are way harder to get my hands on IE point blank.  There service was good enough that I purchased more of them.  NFC MSRP is a joke.  Just name a realistic price and be done with all the non-sense BS sales and promo codes.  How much does it costs them to run these sales every 3rd week with a different name?  Maybe use that person that clicks the computer to answer a few emails and set your pricing accordingly.

With the Sportsman Show season starting, Edge Rods being a priority for that and orders made there, your blank being at the back of the list if there was none available, and not enough orders have came in to place another batch in rotation when prior orders are ahead of yours, the info you requested may not be readily available, this is something I have seen from all blank makers, not just NFC, I have waited months from all of them, but I have also always gotten my product, not stiffed once.
