Guys, in the market for another versatile casting rod in the <$280.00 price range.  I'm most familiar with the SC Victory line but want to know how the GCX 843C MBR or the Zodias 72MHF compare to the SC Victory 71MHF and what is the best bang for the dollar.

Do you have the 71MHF Victory or that’s what you’re looking at?  I’d go for that rod in the Victory line no questions asked.  It’s my fav rod.   The GCX is a let down like the E6X.   Just feels lifeless.    The Zodias ain’t too bad but I’ve preferred my Victory over the Zodias rods.

I have the Mojo Bass in this configuration but not the Victory.

The Victory model is a hidden gem in the like up.   You’re talking about the Grunt right?

Never liked any SCs I've bought so take w/ a grain of salt. Own multiple Zodiases, including the one you're asking about and I love it. Think they are probably the best value series of rods you can get. I don't feel a difference in sensitivity between it and my expride. What are you using it for? It's a touch slower than an expride fast. More like a MBR taper. Super versatile rod. I throw pretty much whatever on it

I'm also a fan of the expride.  They felt like the best bang for the buck till I tried Major Craft Days.  For under $180 all in, there's nothing I like better for anywhere near the price.

I don't own an Expride, but reviewers often say they compare well to $400 rods.
