Pretty sure you're right. At least the few I've seen. And is it me or is he the most spazzed out fish landing human ever ? I keep waiting for him to set the hook and go right over the side. #wacky And I have a Mercury O/B and I love it. But if I have to sit through that talking motor commercial many more times, I might spoon out an eye. 🤪 A-Jay 3 2 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted Saturday at 07:23 PM Super User Posted Saturday at 07:23 PM @A-Jay and the one he just caught and didn’t take a penalty on, he slammed into the side of the boat on the hookset. Total spaz. Compare him Davis who couldn’t be smoother and I haven’t seen him take one penalty. 1 1 Quote

Two reel handle turns and the fish is at the rod tip. Ya-Hoo ! A-Jay 2 Quote
Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted Saturday at 07:47 PM Super User Posted Saturday at 07:47 PM You guys think he's a spaz right now, go check out his Off The Grid series on YT. The dude takes that Gator Trax into unimageable places. Seriously entertaining stuff. Those are really tough boats, they couldn't have picked a better spokesman for their brand. 3 Quote
Super User Tennessee Boy Posted Saturday at 08:01 PM Author Super User Posted Saturday at 08:01 PM I like the Gator Trax but it’s a real disadvantage in this tournament. He’s making long runs and there’s a lot of wind. 1 Quote

For a guy like me it would be a perfect boat though. They really are cool boats. ETA: Can't lie, I love how Poche is such a thorn in the side of Tournament directors and owners, especially Boyd Duckett 🤣 2 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted Saturday at 08:42 PM Super User Posted Saturday at 08:42 PM Not sure if the wind will blow as predicted, but tomorrow might be pretty intense. A-Jay 2 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted Sunday at 02:02 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 02:02 PM The top 4, Becker, Davis, Scroggins, and Wall are all fishing heavy winds. Poche is fishing what looks to be a protected cove and has zeroed so far. Becker is really on em fishing the windy side of a windblown point. 3 Quote
Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted Sunday at 03:39 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 03:39 PM Pretty wild drama surrounding this event now between Aveena and Poche. Apparently Poche let Aveena go into his area to catch one more fish on day 2, yet he proceeded to catch a total of 3 and Poche cussed him out then. Then yesterday because of how slow Poche's boat is vs. the big glass ones, Aveena beat him to his spot on Apocka. The cherry on top was Aveena catching that 6lb+ fish in front of Poche yesterday. They both are cussing each other out on their social media accounts on facebook. Strong middle school girl fight vibes. Bass fishing can be such a petty sport. 3 Quote
GReb Posted Sunday at 04:36 PM Posted Sunday at 04:36 PM They found the same fish in practice and both went to same stretch day 1 out of the lock. Typical Poche whining 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted Sunday at 04:42 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 04:42 PM Poche better do something different. He hasn’t boated a scorable fish yet. 1 Quote

And right on cue Poche’ boats a bass and takes a penalty. He’e so used to it at this point if he doesn’t get a penalty he’ll probably sit down because he is so conditioned to do so. 1 2 Quote
Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted Sunday at 05:36 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 05:36 PM Ole Bobby Lane calling his shots. Wouldn't mind seeing him win if Davis can't pull it out. Quote

Super User AlabamaSpothunter Posted Sunday at 08:36 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 08:36 PM These dudes are seriously going to start reconsidering winning the knockout stage and getting the bye. I saw pics of Wheeler with his family at Disney World yesterday. How you can do that in the middle of a $150k derby is wild. It's great he spent time with his family though. You see this in the MLB playoffs, those teams with the wildcard round byes really struggle to get back on pace after the byes. Nice to see the sport still has a place for oldschool knowledge and experience even with Davis not winning. He was a small weather front away from winning a BPT trophy. 3 Quote

I saw that too and wondered the same thing. Also, Mark Davis killed it yesterday, but his advantage was essentially for nothing other than making it to Sunday. You could say the same thing about Wheeler on Friday. 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted Sunday at 11:16 PM Super User Posted Sunday at 11:16 PM Looked like Lane’s family was right on the bank next to where he was fishing as time ran out. That must have been a cool feeling. 2 hours ago, AlabamaSpothunter said: You see this in the MLB playoffs, those teams with the wildcard round byes really struggle to get back on pace after the byes. This is exactly what I thought about too. Wheeler was saying he was going back and forth on if he wanted to keep building on his lead or try to fall to second. But man it’s got to be tough to be comfortable enough in a lead to take your foot off the gas and try to drop. Still, can’t imagine being disconnected from the lake for a whole day as the competition stays plugged in. 2 Quote
nso123 Posted Sunday at 11:29 PM Posted Sunday at 11:29 PM So, does the fisherman with the bye have to sit out fishing for the day, or can they still fish for no score? 1 Quote
