I recently got some for a Ned application.  I tied a leader with the fg knot and I couldn’t get my Berkley hot knife to burn through it.  It would burn most but not all the way through.  I had to cut it with scissors . What’s in that stuff that won’t burn?

what braid?  Suffix makes a couple, though I can't see why it shouldn't burn through.  The 131 has a gore fiber core but that should melt just fine.

I always just use scissors anyway.

832 also has the gore-fiber core, and I never have a problem melting the end to lock the knot.

I just use the Cuda scissors to cut it.

Sorry.  It’s 832 and I was trying to burn it next to the Rizzuto finish on my fg knot.

Carry a lighter - the flame is hotter than those 'hot knives'...just have to be careful.

As a smoker, I always have at least one lighter on me at all times.

I just use scissors.  A pair of sharp fiskars micro snips are $14 on amazon (probably cheaper at your local JoAnn).  Clip the tag end close, but not as close as mono and I don't worry if there is a little straggler.

I do this at the bench.  Lighters haven’t worked well for me.  I have scissors like AJs but when I cut the braid I get frizzies on the tag and with my ADDHS OCD it drives me nuts.

Cuda scissors. I have like 10 pair everywhere. They are great. I have small ones in my pfd, 5” pair tethered to my measuring board, a few pair in misc junk drawers in house…they cut through anything…
