@NorthernBasser Peace and strength to you and your family.  Your openness is an inspiration that I hope we can reciprocate.

And if I get your humor, and I mean this with love, it isn't lost on me that you posted in the fishing tackle section.  :)

News of this hit me harder than I thought. I pray that you and your family face this with courage knowing that the Lord has a plan, which culminates in us joining him. The journey there is different for everyone. Despite what you face, I pray your journey includes the love of your friends and family. You have mine.

I don’t know what to say other than when you need to feel support, caring and hope, go back and read all the responses in this thread again and again.

You are in all our thoughts and prayers

Dang you guys...I knew this place was special but you all are showing just how special it really is.

I can't lie, my spirits are pretty dark right now but reading this thread has definitely lifted me up. I honestly can't express enough how much each and every one of you mean to me. I mean it.

Love you all, Galen (don't ask...my mom told me once I was named after one of the ape's from the original Planet of the Apes- which there was an ape named Galen on there- but my dad insists I was named after 'Doc' Dr. Galen Adams from Gunsmoke. I always went with my dad's answer) ;)

We’ve seen pictures of your tackle shop, so we believe you’re named after the ape. 😉

All kidding aside, stay strong for your family, and know the BR community will be thinking of/praying for you.

Devastating news that I can really relate to.  When I was diagnosed back in 2015 esophegal cancer was a death sentence for most. But modern medicine had a solution for me. Keep an open mind & pursue all your medical options. There is hope. I’m praying for your best outcome. Share as much as you can because we all care.

We are all family here. We share our good times, so we should be able to share the bad. That's what families do. Life is hard, and it gets harder the longer we are here. Tomorrow is not guaranteed for any of us, and we should live our life accordingly. Wishing strength, courage, and peace for you bro....

@NorthernBasser, Like others, I just don’t have the words, don’t know what to say. Just know that you’re a loved and respected member here. I will be praying for you, your family, friends and your medical team.

I will definitely mention you in my prayer.  I pray you live long enough for AI to take  hold and start curing these diseases.  Experts say AI will start curing cancers/diseses at a rapid rate.  You got this.

I am sorry to hear this, life is a very weird experience for sure. I am wishing you nothing but happiness and peace in this tough time. I always enjoyed when you would give me a good ribbing when the bait monkey used to make me go overboard. Keep your head up and focus on the outcome you want is all you can do at this point.
