However, I have honeycomb blinds on my windows and insulated curtains. On cold days, I leave the blinds down and the curtains drawn because a window is a hole in your house and even double panes with argon inside bleed heat. I use the blinds and curtains to preserve cool, inside air in the summer too. Quote

Super User Mobasser Posted January 22 Super User Posted January 22 We were at -5 yesterday morning. This morning we're at 20. It will warm to 28 today. Catt, my go-to for this is do the best you can. When it's below zero everything is frozen. It's tough. 1 Quote
Super User Swamp Girl Posted January 22 Author Super User Posted January 22 @Catt, if you do go outside, cover your face. You're not acclimated to cold air and bare skin will hurt. Most importantly, don't lick a flag pole even if somebody double dog dares you!!! 3 Quote
wdp Posted January 22 Posted January 22 My buddy that lives near Pensacola has been sending me pics & videos since yesterday. He’s freaking out. 😂 Think they got an estimated 8.75”. 😳 2 Quote

Super User Swamp Girl Posted January 22 Author Super User Posted January 22 @wdp: That looks less than 8.5", however, with the warm ground, it might be melting nearly as fast as it's falling, so 8.5" might have fallen from the sky, but not accumulated. 1 Quote

Super User TOXIC Posted January 22 Super User Posted January 22 Decided to go start the truck and top off the fuel getting ready to travel to Headwaters next week and my truck cover was frozen to the driveway. 😆 A couple pitchers of hot water and I got it free. Needless to say I’m the only one in town with a clean truck and with the forecasted temperatures, nobody’s going to washing their vehicles in the near future. 1 Quote

Super User N Florida Mike Posted January 26 Super User Posted January 26 Not my photo . But I couldn’t resist this one, because it’s so rare we get a heavy snow in Florida…It’s the beach at pensacola 3 Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted January 27 Super User Posted January 27 Finally got a little measurable snow up our way. Riggins was trying to eat it as it fell and the St Bernards were like what the heck is the matter with you. 😆 1 1 Quote
